The all-round artist, Dino Datorre, with a long and multi-faceted career, grabs the opportunity to get back in the “game” with this “nom adopté”.

Dino Datorre embraces the view that the name of an artist is not fixed and can be modified usually to mark a significant change to his career or exploring a new major work in his life. Thus, he is introducing this “alliterative” name aiming to distinguish his art career-path redefining his narrative and establishing what he stands for, differentiating him from his previous professional career, under the born-name, in order to keep his artwork without being affected by stereotypes.

Moreover, with this figurative name the artist indicates his ancestry tribal links with the Doric perception which cannot be analyzed but only experienced.

His repertoire in the up today professional arena identified him as a corporate image designer and influential branding strategist for more than three decades having an accomplished view on how visual message can create real change.
The infrastructure of his studies in applied arts & design began in interior architecture, graphic design, photography, drawing and art history. Was then enriched with studies in marketing communication strategy.
For the record, he was bitten by the art bug at a child age, learning photographic skills from his father, a professional art photographer.

As a visual artist with artpreneur attitude expresses universal concepts such as birth, death and love, concentrating particularly on the nature of human role in the environment in history and culture. His artwork is a decisive act / a tribute to directness and denunciation at the same time, reinventing various forms through the power of the classical geometry, transmitting the message that humanity’s values are not locked in time frames.
Using the purity of the Doric simplicity for the immediacy of the message, with a distinctive spontaneous and gestural style, he plays with texture and symbolism -free from rigid formal constraints- assure the penetrability of the message with the power of a universally recognized visual language.
Dino Datorre believes that in conceptual art, the idea is an important aspect of the work and takes some precedence over traditional aesthetic and material concerns. It means that all the planning and decisions are made beforehand and the execution is a perfunctory affair.

His multidisciplinary practice extends beyond painting to include sculpture, photography, architecture, objects design and other various elemental materials including large-scale interactive installations. Currently, his creativity is fueled in Chicago IL.
